About Robert McAndrew

Experienced Security Professional and Former Detective

Robert J. McAndrew is a seasoned security professional with over 27 years of law enforcement experience and a strong academic background in criminal justice. With a Master of Public Administration focused on Criminal Justice from Marywood University, Robert brings a wealth of expertise in both field operations and investigative work.

During his distinguished career with the Scranton Police Department, Robert served in multiple roles, including Detective, Acting Lieutenant, and Supervisor of Community Development Police Officers. His investigative experience is extensive, having managed cases ranging from harassment to high-profile crimes such as homicide, fraud, and robbery. His dedication to thorough investigations and case management allowed him to handle an average of 90-110 cases annually, contributing to the effective prosecution of criminals.

In addition to his work as a detective, Robert has a rich background in leadership and training. He supervised a team of 35 patrol officers, oversaw emergency response efforts, and developed critical policies for high-crime areas. His commitment to community safety also extended to roles in community relations, where he worked to improve police procedures and foster a safer environment.

Robert holds multiple certifications, including Act 235 for firearm training, ALICE school shooting protection, and CPR & First Aid. He has also completed advanced training in interrogation and interview techniques, making him a versatile and well-prepared security professional. His accomplishments include membership in the Scranton Police Special Operations (SWAT) team, recognition through awards such as the “Thomas White” leadership award, and a Pennsylvania private detective license.

Dan Peterson Jr. is a seasoned security manager and the Operations Manager for MAC Detective Agency, LLC, With extensive experience in both armed and unarmed security, site management, and a variety of certifications including DHS, FEMA, ACT 235, Taser, Range Safety Officer, and CPR/AED, Dan is committed to providing top tier security and safety services.

In his current role with Mac Detective Agency, Dan oversees operations that include private investigations, mobile and foot patrols, and high profile security assignments, ensuring all client needs are met with professionalism and discretion. His leadership and operational expertise play a pivotal role in upholding the agency’s reputation for reliability and excellence.

Dan has previously served in roles requiring strict security protocols and quick response capabilities, including as a Public Safety Officer at a regional airport. His experience includes managing security operations for a range of critical sites, where he developed and implemented enhanced protocols that contributed to a safer environment and reduced security breaches.

In addition to his security and management skills, Dan holds a Mini MBA from the International Business Management Institute, which complements his practical expertise with a solid foundation in business management. His commitment to continuous learning is further reflected in his numerous DHS and FEMA certifications, covering areas such as workplace security awareness and critical infrastructure protection.
